On September 19, Louwman Group started building the most sustainable dealer company in the Netherlands. The new strategic location at the Schaapherderweg in Ridderkerk will centralize the current Toyota and Suzuki activities of Louwman Rotterdam, Ridderkerk and Poortugaal and the Peugeot activities of Blauwendaal Poortugaal and Ridderkerk.
There will be 1 large showroom for the sale of used cars and one shared modern workshop. The flagship store is being built at the Cornelisland business park. The opening is planned for June 2019. The structural work is ready and the coming weeks will be about finishing the inside and outside to the desired level.
The great challenge for Dutch Light Pro to make the lighting plan. The starting point was to identify the image of the individual brands and to safeguard the unity of the whole. The highest BREEAM "Outstanding" standard also had to be met. Louwman Rotterdam-Zuid was the first Automotive company in the Netherlands to also receive the BREEAM-Outstanding design certificate.
The certificate was achieved with a score of no less than 91.77 percent, while only a minimum of 85% is required for an Outstanding certificate.
This means a maximum rating of 5 stars in the field of building with a sustainable character. The striking location, with elongated architecture in two layers, is thus the first car company in the Netherlands that meets this standard.
The lighting has now been delivered and work is underway on installing it. There are 53 different codes in total supplied as Basic, Terrain, Emergency and Decorative lighting. Varying from recessed, surface mounted and suspended lighting as well as track spots, robust desk fixtures and light towers with associated exterior wall fixtures.
