One of our Lighting designers had the pleasure to visit the showroom of Louis Poulsen in Copenhagen. An inspiring visit where the products worked well within the historic setting of the building. A visit to the factory in Billund was also part of de two-day trip. You might know Billund from Legoland but that’s not the only thing that’s build in Billund.

The tour in the factory of Louis Poulsen showed a lot of handicraft. Where the more physic labour is done especially by man, the large number of woman use their fine motoric skills to assemble the fixtures. After observing it was time to test our own motoric skills by assembling a PH5, a real Louis Poulsen Classic. It was quite a challenge with thirty-five separate parts, but a good example of the attention and craft which characterises the production process. We want to thank Louis Poulsen for the hospitality and the two inspiring days full of Danish Design!
